There are SO MANY OPTIONS when it comes to posting on social media, and as a small business owner you don’t have time to waste posting content that doesn’t make an impact.
- Choose a couple of platforms to focus on – figure out where your audience is, and start there. You can always add if you find a reason to.
- Plan ahead! A social media calendar can be your best friend.
- Keep it simple! Post content that comes naturally to you and your business. Ex. Your work process, mission statement, inspiration, etc.
Review your Performance
Here’s where you can make sure your content is working for you. Take a minute at the end of each week, month and quarter to review your posts – its like a free, online, focus group assessment.
- Go over the comments, shares and interactions you receive. Make sure you reply, share and add value where you can.
- Make note of which type of posts receive the most activity, and see if you can find a pattern.
- Adjust your calendar to create content that reflects your assessments.
Do more of what your audience “LIKES” and stop posting content that gets you nothing.
